Gaelic Start

Tullylish GAC has been selected by the Down County Board and Ulster GAA to receive the Gaelic Start Programme (One of the few clubs in Ulster to be selected)

In 2008 the Ulster Council piloted a new Gaelic Start initiative aimed at developing Fundamental based games and activities for children aged between 4 and 8 years. Following the success of the initial pilot, the programme will be rolled out in the clubs across the province.

The programme will start in Gilford on Wednesday 2 December @ 7-00pm. This initial meeting will involve only the coaches and parents. At this meeting the plan for the 10 week programme will be outlined and relevant information given out.

Wednesday 6 January: Fundamental Stations

Wednesday 13 January: Skills

Wednesday 20 January: Skills

Wednesday 27 January: Skills

Wednesday 3 February: Games

Week 9

Wednesday 10 February: Games

Wednesday 17 February: Games

Programme will be in Gilford Community Centre

Open to all children from P1 to P4

From 6pm to 7pm

Admission £1 (to cover use of hall)

It is vital that we make this initiative a success and we would ask all parents to avail of this opportunity and attend the information session on Wednesday 2nd December at 7pm.
