Three wins in a row for U-14'S

Date Filed: 06 May 2010

Tullylish U-14s easily overcame Drumgath to record their third league win in a row on Monday evening. Gareth Marsden had little to do all evening in the Tullylish goal as Michael Moore, James Roberts, Emmett McDermott, Matthew McManus and Ethan McCartan all scored from play to open up a five point lead without reply. Shane McAnearney had to retire with an injury and Micháel Finnegan came on to add some grit to the attack wher Seamus McDermott and Willie John McCartan had been working hard to keep Tullylish in front. Gareth Lennon and Sean Kelly were stopping any potential attacks from Drumgath and both Thomas O'Neill and Charlie Monaghan were winning the ball in the half backs and moving the play up to the forwards at every oppurtunity. When Matthew McManus scored his second point and Emmett McDermott found the net before the break, Tullylish ended the half well in front. Indeed Drumgath failed to trouble the scoreboard in the opening period. The introduction of Owen Donelly, Conor Kelly, Chris Roberts and Daniel McCaughely at the start of thesecong half further strengthened the Tullylish attack. Ethan McCartan scored a point from play and Drumgath registered their first point 10minutes into the second half. Throughout the second half, Tullylish continued to dominate with Emmett Dermott scoring three points, Chris Roberts and Ethan McCartan scoring great individual points from play and Michael Moore goaling from 35 yards. This meant that Tullylish were well out of sight long before the end. The final score was Tullylish 2-12 Drumgath 1-02
